DDL Commands

Teiid supports a subset of DDL to create or drop temporary tables and to manipulate procedure and view definitions at runtime. It is not currently possible to arbitrarily drop or create non-temporary metadata entries. For information about the DDL statements that you can use to define schemas in a virtual database, see DDL metadata.

To make non-temporary metadata updates persistent, you must configure a MetadataRepository. For more information, see Runtime Metadata Updates in the Developer’s Guide.
